Your Rights

Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) you have the legal right to form a Union in your workplace.

Section 7 (U.S. Code Title 29, Chapter 7, 157) : "Employees shall have the legal right to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other protected concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining..."

The law says you have the right to organize into a union of your choice. It gives you the right to vote for a union representation in secret, government supervised ballot.
